The Periphery Forces for the Periphery Campaign consist of at least seven gunships similar to the Valley Gunship [1], with most of them towing barges, and the "Old Soldier" and maybe a few more brigs. Few gunships are identified by Periphery state.
After the Torumekian / Periphery defeat at the Battle of the Acid Lakes, the surviving Periphery Forces are released from their obligation by Kushana [2] and fly to the Valley of the Wind [3] to discuss the situation with King Jihl.
The other chieftains of the Periphery gather in King Jhil's Private Room and agree to Breaking of the Periphery Treaty. Mito explains that Nausicaä has gone South with Kushana to continue the campaign [4]. Mito informs them all that the Holy Emperor of the Doroks is intent on taking over the Periphery [5].
