Flight suits are common in the Periphery and in the Torumekian military.
Valley of the Wind and the Periphery[]
Nausicaä's flight suit isn't very different from others in the Periphery [1]. She converts her Dorok Dress stained with Ohmu blood into a flight suit [2].
Flight suits usually consist of an outer coat, usually made of wool or felt from domesticated animals, with ammunition loops three to a breast (sometimes they have a snap cover), a balaclava/hood and helmet, heavy gloves, pants, leg guards and boots [3].
Others besides pilots wear this particular outfit. Yupa's includes a hat and cloak [4] and the other Periphery warriors have their own variations [5].

Torumekian Pilots wear a variation of a flight suit uniform [6].
