The surviving chieftains of the Periphery decide to break the treaty with the Vai Emperor and Torumekia [1] after the defeat at the Battle of the Acid Lakes and subsequent gathering at the Valley of the Wind.
With the Torumekian Main Campaign grinding it's way through Dorok and the recent order by the Holy Emperor of the Doroks for the Dorok Tribes to seize the Periphery, along with a probable re-call to war by the Vai Emperor, the chieftains of the Periphery decide to break with the treaty. King Jhil, just before he dies, agrees to stand with them [2].
